Iowa junior quarterback Ricky Stanzi underwent ankle surgery on Monday and will miss Saturday’s game against Ohio State, Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz revealed on Tuesday.

Ferentz said it is possible Stanzi could play in the Hawkeyes’ final game against Minnesota on Nov. 20.

Stanzi suffered a severely sprained ankle during the second quarter of Iowa’s game against Northwestern on Nov. 6.
