Things went from bad to worse for the Iowa men’s basketball team on Sunday.
Sophomore guard Anthony Tucker was arrested early Sunday morning on charges of public intoxication. According to police reports, the arrest was made shortly after 2 a.m., at the Lodge in Iowa City.
This is the second alcohol-related arrest for Tucker, who is 20 years old, coming a little over a year after being charged with public intoxication. Tucker was later suspended after his arrest last year by head coach Todd Lickliter.
The Minnetonka, Minn., native has started all 11 games for the Hawkeyes this season. On Saturday night, he had 17 points on 5-for-11 shooting from the field in Iowa’s 71-67 victory over Drake.
