INDIANAPOLIS — The Iowa women’s basketball team defeated Penn State in a Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal game at Conseco Fieldhouse on Friday. The third-seeded Hawkeyes defeated the sixth-seeded Lady Lions despite the fact that junior Kachine Alexander fouled out with 3:39 remaining in the contest.
