Ohio State defeats Iowa, 66-64, in Big Ten Tournament championship game

INDIANAPOLIS — No. 10 Ohio State has defeated Iowa, 66-64, in the Big Ten Tournament championship game.

Buckeye senior Jantel Lavender hit two game-winning free throws with 1.9 seconds remaining after being fouled.

Sophomore Kamille Wahlin paced the Hawkeyes with 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the floor. Wahlin was able to fire a long three-point attempt at the buzzer to try to win the game, but the shot was no good, skimming the rim.

Lavender led all players in scoring and rebounding with 35 points and 10 boards. Lavender was 14-of-25 from the field and a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line.. Sophomore Samantha Prahalis added six points and seven assists.
