Man sues UIHC for negligence

Motion for mistrial granted in Thompson murder trial

The defense’s motion for mistrial in the Charles William Curtis Thompson murder trial was granted at roughly 1:15 p.m. today by Johnson County Judge Sean McPartland. Flames poured out of several downtown Iowa City buildings early Saturday morning. The fire was reported to city officials at 2:16 a.m. according to a release issued by the Iowa City Fire Department.
