Iowa hoops to play in “Big Four Classic”

The Iowa men’s basketball team will be a part of an inaugural “Big Four Classic,” a release from the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau announced Thursday. Kidnapping suspect’s parent charged with bribing victim

The mother of an Iowa City resident charged with first-degree kidnapping allegedly attempted to bribe the victim in that case to change her story, according to police complaints. Qiao Li’s son, Peng Tang, was formally charged Monday with first-degree kidnapping after he allegedly sexually assaulted a local woman during an apartment showing on March 29. [...]
