Davenport woman charged for stealing purses

A Davenport woman was charged after allegedly stealing purses from Dillard’s.

Jasmine Crawford, 18, was charged on Aug. 19 with third-degree theft.

According to a Coralville Police complaint Crawford was seen taking purses from a sales rack inside Dillard’s at Coral Ridge Mall. She allegedly crouched down behind another sales rack with them and made it out of the first set of doors without paying for the purses. The purses were worth $536.

Third-degree theft is an aggravated misdemeanor.
