Iowa Basketball: Hawkeyes upend Cavaliers, 75-64

The Iowa men’s basketball team will advance to the semifinals of the NIT basketball tournament, after defeating the Virginia Cavaliers 75-64 in Virginia. Iowa’s Devyn Marble led the way in scoring, netting 24 points in the contest. Iowa will play Maryland in the semifinals at Madison Square Garden in New York City on April 2.

Marshall found guilty

Justin Marshall, 22, was found guilty of slaying former Broadway Condominiums owner John Versypt in October 2009. After beginning deliberations yesterday afternoon the jury returned to the courtroom at approximately 12:30 p.m today.
